Artist Belle Zhang Joins the Los Angeles Beverly Arts (LABA) Biennial International Art Festival

Belle Zhang (Keqi Zhang) is the youngest artist to join the Los Angeles Beverly Arts (LABA) Biennial International Art Festival. She is 11 years old and began formal art training at the age of seven. Zhang is passionate about drawing and painting, with a focus on creative expression. She enjoys creative challenges and finding new ways to innovate her art.

Born in China, Zhang lives in Southern California now, attending school while developing her artistic skills. Most recently she spent time studying with artist Lisa Schulte, renowned for her neon sculptures and artistry, and artist Marisable Bazan, on her painting skills.

Artist Jie Geng, Overseas Art Envoy of Beverly LABA Biennial International Art Festival, reviewed Zhang's artwork and was impressed at her achievements. He stated,

"Among all the artistic people I have come into contact with, Belle Zhang is obviously a child with extremely high artistic talent, which is rare. When we examine an artist or a beginner in art, we are accustomed to using rational physical logic to deduce basic skills, time in art, experience, etc., so as to judge the ability or energy of art. This is obviously one-sided and biased.

In Belle Zhang's paintings, the important thing is the feeling in the art discipline. Her feeling of the world in front of her is clearly different from that of ordinary people. In her flowing and smooth brush, she "plays" a unique artistic picture like the sound of nature. Each one is like the "electrocardiogram" of a beautiful heart, real and without any affectation. I believe that her future path will be paved with the beautiful quantum entanglement of art, just as the guidance of the god of art, and the unique charm and value of Belle Zhang will be displayed in the artistic aura. Eastern philosophers say "the saint is connected with the sky", and we say - artists are also connected with the sky!"

In addition to art, Zhang is enthusiastic about gymnastics and trampolining, and being able to showcase a balance of artistic and athletic skills. She is also dedicated to improving her skills, and enjoying a balance of academic, artistic, and athletic pursuits.

Achievements and Honors

2022-2024: LABA Biennial International Art Festival - Youngest member in the competition.

2023: Celebrating Arts Competition - Artwork "Belle & Sunny" published in the Spring edition.

2024: U.S. Gymnastics Championships - Won a bronze medal in gymnastics.
