Artist Guangzhi En Joins the Los Angeles Beverly Arts (LABA) Biennial International Art Festival

As a first-class artist in China, Guangzhi En is known for his rare painting skills and painting techniques with strong personal expression and rich emotions. Since his youth, En has devoted himself to oil painting creation and regarded it as his lifelong career. En graduated from the oil painting department of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts. He worked as a professional painter in Gansu Painting Academy and served as the director of the Art Committee and the director of the Theoretical Research Department of Gansu Painting Academy until his retirement. He currently lives in Beijing. He is a member of the Chinese Artists Association, Director of the Chinese Oil Painting Society, and Chairman of the Gansu Oil Painting Society.

Guangzhi En works have been exhibited in the United States, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and other countries and regions such as Taiwan and Hong Kong. Some of his works are collected by art galleries and museums at home and abroad. His works have been published in national publications such as "Fine Arts", "Chinese Oil Painting", "People's Daily" and "Guangming Daily". He has published albums "Guangzhi En Oil Painting Collection" and "Artist Guangzhi En". He was invited to create a huge mural for the Great Hall of the People. En has a deep affection for the grassland.

During his creative career, he has visited the snowy Tibetan grassland dozens of times, lived and ate with local Tibetan herdsmen, experienced life, collected materials, and created a large number of oil paintings reflecting the life of Tibetan herdsmen and the integration and symbiosis of man and nature with a unique perspective, emotion and personalized painting language. Every walk is a pilgrimage, and every painting is a spiritual journey. In addition to oil painting, Guangzhi En also creates Chinese paintings, especially horses. The fusion of Western painting skills and traditional Chinese ink painting is the finishing touch of his works.

Accomplishments and Honors


In 1980, the oil painting "Gobi Light" was selected for the Second National Youth Art Exhibition.

In 1981, the oil painting "Golden Treasure Cave" was selected for the China Silk Road Art Exhibition and exhibited in Japan.

In 1982, the print "Eagle" was selected for the First National Minority Art Exhibition.

In 1982, he joined the China Artists Association.

In 1984, the oil painting "Qilian River" was selected for the 6th National Art Exhibition and the China Oil Painting Exhibition in the United States.

In 1984, the comic strip "Stories of Dunhuang Murals - Treasure Hunting" was selected for the 6th National Art Exhibition.

In 1985, Gansu Academy of Painting was established, and he was transferred to Gansu Academy of Painting to engage in professional art creation. In the same year, he was admitted to the Oil Painting Department of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts.

In 1987, the oil painting "Journey of Life" was selected for the first China Oil Painting Exhibition.

In 1988, the oil paintings "Under the Pagoda Base", "Little Flower", "Qin Shi Ming Yue", "Journey", and other works were selected for the third National Newcomers and New Works Exhibition.

In 1989, the oil painting "Golden Treasure Cave" was selected for the Silk Road Art Exhibition.

In 1990, the oil painting "Snowfield" was selected for the first China Oil Painting Exhibition and exhibited in Japan.

In 1991, the oil painting "Zaxi Delek" was selected for the National Art Exhibition to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Party and was published in Guangming Daily.

In 1992, the oil painting "Winter Sunshine" was selected for the Second China Oil Painting Exhibition.

In 1992, the oil paintings "Wilderness" and "Snowy Land" were selected for the 92' China Oil Painting Exhibition and exhibited in Hong Kong.

In 1994, the oil painting "Shepherds of Amnye Machen Mountain" was selected for the Eighth National Art Exhibition.

In 1994, the oil painting "Winter Sunshine" was selected for the Second China Oil Painting Exhibition.

In 1995, the oil painting "Searching" was selected for the First China Landscape Oil Painting Exhibition.

In 1995, he was invited to create the huge murals "Dunhuang Treasure Cave" and "The Great Pass of the World" for the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

In 1996, he was appointed as a director of the Second China Oil Painting Society.

In 1999, he was appointed as the artistic director of the Dunhuang Creation Center of the Chinese Artists Association.

In 2000, the oil painting "Warm Winter" was selected for "Today's Chinese Art".

In 2001, the oil painting "Blessings and Good Luck" was selected for the National Art Exhibition for the 80th Anniversary of the Founding of the Party.

In 2002, the oil painting "Ge Sang Mei Duo" was selected for the National Art Exhibition.

In 2003, the oil painting "Wall Foundation" was selected for the Second National Academy of Painting Biennial.

In 2003, the oil painting "Nima Tribe" was selected for the Third China Oil Painting Exhibition.

In 2004, the Chinese painting "Heroic Spirit of Heaven and Earth" was selected for the First China Artists Association Members' Chinese Painting Exhibition.

In 2005, the oil painting "Shambhala Shepherd" was selected for the Third National Academy of Painting Exhibition.

In 2010, he was appointed as a director of the Third China Oil Painting Society and a member painter of the China Oil Painting Society.
