Chinese American Culture Exchange Association is Nominated for Los Angeles Beverly Arts Icon Award
Los Angeles, California, USA. 15th March, 2022. The Chinese American Culture Exchange Association (CACEA) was registered and established in Los Angeles in 2015 as a non-profit organization, which opened a new chapter in the historical development of Chinese and overseas Chinese compatriots. Since its establishment, the CACEA has been adhering to the purpose of promoting exchanges and cooperation between China and the United States in various fields such as culture, art, medical care, science and technology, and economics and trade, with the mission of inheriting and promoting traditional Chinese culture, and striving to serve the interests of the two countries.
In its long-term work, the CACEA has established extensive contacts with all walks of life in China and the United States, and actively promoted traditional Chinese culture. In order to further carry forward the spirit of Chinese aesthetics and promote cultural and artistic exchanges between China and the United States, the association co-organized the large-scale historical stage play "Wu Zetian" starring Liu Xiaoqing and the large-scale dance "National Color" by the Central Song and Dance Troupe in Los Angeles. The Overseas Chinese Federation and the Southern California Sichuan-Chongqing General Chamber of Commerce co-hosted the "2016 Family Love China, Beautiful Sichuan" large-scale theatrical evening in Los Angeles, which was warmly welcomed and highly praised by the local Chinese and American people.
In order to enhance the exchanges and cooperation in culture, art, education and film between China and the United States, the CACEA organized Sino-American art and film production exchange activities for Chinese and American colleges and universities, and organized "Sino-American Culture, Sino-American Film Industry" for Chinese and American film circles, an "American Film” seminar and related exchange activities. Additionally, the CACEA produced a large-scale documentary film called "Chasing the Dream" with Harrison Engle, a well-known American documentary filmmaker, that told the stories of Chinese immigrants and their outstanding contributions to Chinese and American culture. The film demonstrates the spirit of unremitting self-improvement, solidarity, fraternity, and dedication of the Chinese-American community.
The association has held various forums, lectures, exchanges and charity activities from time to time. It has jointly initiated and held the "Family China, Love Package" charity donation activity with the Sichuan Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, the American Sichuan-Chongqing General Chamber of Commerce, and the Sichuan Overseas Chinese Public Welfare Foundation. As the only Chinese community organization, the association was invited to participate in the "Oscars of Philanthropy - the 58th Fernando Awards Ceremony" in the United States. David Honda, Chairman of the Fernando Awards Foundation, personally presented the honorary certificate to the CACEA
and thanked the association for its support and contribution.
The CACEA has been committed to promoting China's broad and profound traditional culture, promoting Chinese cuisine, traditional Chinese medicine and health preservation to enter the mainstream of the United States and serve the public community. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, the association and its member units have repeatedly donated a large amount of epidemic prevention materials to hospitals, schools, communities in China and the United States. With the strong support of the Jiangsu Provincial Government and the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Jiangsu Province, together with the Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Huiqiao Base of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the United States has settled in Los Angeles—the first Chinese Medicine Huiqiao Service Center established in the United States.
When the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics is approaching, in order to let more Chinese and overseas Chinese and friends from the United States and around the world express and convey their support for the Beijing Winter Olympics and athletes, the association held the Welcome Tiggo, Celebration together "Winter Olympics, Together to the Future" large-scale theatrical performance. Representatives from all walks of life in China and the United States with certain influence and different ethnic groups were invited to attend this event. While watching the wonderful program with traditional Chinese cultural characteristics, the participating guests simultaneously wished the Chinese people a happy New Year. And support the Beijing Winter Olympics and athletes!
The review of some of the history of the CACEA is engraved with the footprints of all members of the association for its mission. The China-US Cultural Exchange Association will continue to uphold the ever-growing feelings of home and country, play an important role in promoting exchanges, cooperation and development between China and the United States, and contribute to the inheritance and promotion of the broad and profound traditional Chinese culture.
