Contemporary Artist Jie Geng Joins the LABA International Biennial Art Festival

Jie Geng is a contemporary artist born in Shuangliao City, Jilin Province, China in 1964. He currently lives in Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, China. As an artist, he specializes in contemporary Zen ink painting, oil painting, and sculpture creation. He has written many articles on art and published them in academic and professional publications, both at home and internationally.​

1985 - at the age of 21, he joined the Jilin Branch of the China Artists Association and then transferred to the Liaoning Branch ​ 1992 - the work "Mr." went to the United States and Japan for the exhibition of Chinese contemporary prints, and won the Excellence Award, National Art Museum of China, Beijing ​ 1992 - Chinese Comics Achievements Exhibition National Art Museum of China Beijing ​ 2003 - the oil painting "Discovery of the Warring States Road" was selected into the Liaoning Exhibition Area of the Tenth National Art Exhibition 2007 - the book "Spirit of Whispering" was published by Liaoning Fine Arts Publishing House 2008 - the work "Jin Ping Mei" was collected by the Sino-German Sino-Austrian Cultural and Art Exchange Association for 50,000 euros, Germany 2014 - the first Nanjing International Art Exhibition, three contemporary ink and wash works "Plain Yarn Zen Clothes", "Atlantis Dreaming of Troy" and contemporary sculpture works "Fossil Series-Insects" were shortlisted for the exhibition and won the Excellence Award Nanjing 2014 - the French Louvre International Art Salon Exhibition, the work "Artificial Cloud" won the nomination award and the judges' special award, Paris, France 2014 - the Chinese ink and wash exhibition was specially invited by the Paris Municipal Government, and the work "Ma Le" was collected by the St. Remy Lecheforth Paris Municipal Government, Paris, France 2015 - the second Nanjing International Art Exhibition, the work "Red Blood Cell" won the Bronze Award 2015 - the ten-year retrospective exhibition of Chinese artists' works in the Louvre, France, won the ten-year glory award, China National Academy of Painting, French National Artists Association 2015 - France "Surprise East and West" Paris Art Exhibition (ART CONTEMPORAIN EN PARTAGE DE FRANCE ET DE CHINA) works "In the World" and "Father" together with 30 works of famous painters Chu Teh-Chun, Cui Ruzhuo, Ouyang Zhongshi and other painters Appeared in Paris, France Jing Art Museum Paris, France 2015 - joined the Association of Artists and Sculptors of the Kingdom of Spain (ASOCIAION ESPANOLA DE PINTORES Y ESCULTORES), and was invited to participate in the 2016 International Art Exhibition Spain 2016 - the work "Totem" was held in the "Second Shocking East and West Contemporary Art Exhibition" in Paris, France, and was collected by Napoleon II, a descendant of Napoleon, Mr. AIainJOFFARD Paris, France 2017 - the work "Encountering the Red Dust" was collected by the former French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin in the "Third China-France Shocking East and West Contemporary Art Exhibition" held in Paris, France Paris, France ​ 2019 - the works "Witch Hazel Dream" and "The Season of Tsing Yi" participated in the Venice Biennale (parallel exhibition HIHEY China Pavilion) Venice, Italy ​
